VIMS™ is dedicated to providing the Next
Generation of Risk Management Software to the marketplace.
|
The newest version of VIMS 2.1 is now available
and the improvements are exciting and interesting. Your VIMS
experience has just improved. Some improvements are the
result of ongoing review and others were the result of our users
suggesting features they would find advantageous.
Below are just a few of the many enhancements
to the VIMS application suite.
|
Multiple Employees
Multiple employee injuries or
illnesses can now be entered into one incident as shown here. If
one incident results in more than one worker injury the details
for each employee can be stored and reported on in the new VIMS Incident.
|
Recommended Action Approval
Many organizations have approval processes within the department
or company. With increased stewardship of costs in today’s world
of business the VIMS Incident User can now archive the approvals
for any or all Recommended Actions.

|

Terminated Employees
Does your company hire contractors for projects
then terminate and re-hire again when needed. Keeping records
of terminated workers is simplified in the improved VIMS Incident.
By simply clicking the check box the terminated employees can
be shown in the list or hidden from the user.
|
Object Admin Screen
The new Object Admin Screen allows the administrator one
stop shopping when it comes to configuring the VIMS Modules.
All administrative tasks can be done from one screen. The option
of modifying the security settings is still available on the
individual Forms.

|
E-mail Options
The e-mail support in the Options Screen is more robust and
has added support for SMTP server authentication.

|
E-mail Configuration
The administrator can configure the e-mail
function to notify a manager of incidents that have been entered
into VIMS Incident. The generated e-mail now has more information
provided to the recipient in case immediate action is required.
|
Disable Type Codes
Type Codes can now be disabled if you find
a Type Code that is no longer used in your organization. The
historical information will be retained for reports but the
disabled Type Code will no longer appear on the input screens.
A good example is when a department is disbanded and no longer
part of your functional organization.
|

Disable Locations
Companies sometimes divest locations or divisions
as part of their business plan. The divested locations can be
removed from the Locations list so they no longer show up in
the input screens. Historical reports will still reflect accurately
the locations of all past incidents.
|
E-mailing Reports
You can now generate a report and e-mail that report to any
recipient within your organization.
 |
Reports
The WCB and QSHA reports are more robust and contain more
information. This will save time when generating regulatory
reports.
