Versatile Information Management Systems Releases
VIMS 2.1
Major Enhancements:
- Control Panel Module - Object Admin Screen. All general
administrative functions for each module can now be performed
in one location. A one stop shop for administration.
- Control Panel Module - Options Enhanced Email Support.
Added support for SMTP server authentication.
- Incident Module - Recommended Action Approval. Added
an Approval tab to then Recommended Action detail form to
allow for supervisor approval of any actions added to an
incident.
- Incident Module - Multiple Injuries and Illnesses for
a single Incident. Added the ability to add an Injury or
Illness record for each employee involved in the incident.
- Testing Module - Redesigned the testing module to provide
more features including a find screen to help you search
your scheduled tests.
- VIMS Reports - Added the ability to email a pdf version
of a report from the Report View Screen.

Versatile Information Management Systems is please
to announce the next release of its software product – VIMS
2.0 is now available.
VIMS 2.0 not only includes the next version of its flagship
module: Incident, but now introduces two new modules: Hiring
& Placement and Testing.
The VIMS Product Suite now consists of:
- Control Panel 2.0 – provides the platform for executing
any of the other modules and is where the
administrator establishes the various parameters and
settings of how VIMS operates.
- Incident 2.0 – is the information management module
that allows for the recording, causal analysis of potential
and/or actual loss producing events and developing effective
remedial actions for any type of incident.
- Hiring & Placement 1.1 – is the information management
module that allows you to manage and archive your hiring
processes, including creating job definitions, setting up
interviews, creating orientations and determining job placement.
- Testing 1.1 - is designed to schedule and monitor your
important workplace testing requirements. Using this Module
will allow you to track any and all tests required within
your organization, the people involved in each test and
the results of each test.
Improvements over previous versions of Control Panel and
Incident:
- Custom Forms - now able to set Security and Configure
Email.
- Employee Information – Employee Panel has new Tabs to
allow entry of History, Testing, Qualifications and Notes
in addition to the previous General Employee Information.
- Report Parameters Panel – can now view and enter Hours
Worked and Kilometers Traveled for a specific Location and
Year.
- Reports – number of available reports has been expanded
for Monthly, Quarterly, Annual and On Demand.
- WCB Account Numbers – can now assign a different WCB
Account Number for every Province/State.
