The Tool the Administrator uses to Control the Software

Most software applications today require you to take your square problem and try and fit it into the applications’ round solution. You are forced to change your terms, forms, procedures, and methods, in some cases the very way you have been doing business for years. Even the company Program Administrator has limited control.

At VIMSInc.net we took the opposite approach.  We designed an application that gives you a versatile tool allowing you to modify the application to fit the problem. The VIMS software application gives the power of control to you, the buyer, by means of the VIMS.Control Panel. This approach extends to even naming the application, we call it VIMS, if you want to call it OXFORD, then simple change it to OXFORD.

The VIMS.Control Panel is where the administrator establishes the various parameters and settings of how VIMS operates, from the insertion of the organization logo for use when generating reports, to establishing users with their related security settings.  Finally, control is in the users hands.

VIMS.Incident™ - Module – AN APPLIANCE

VIMS.Incident™ is the information management module that allows for the recording, causal analysis of potential and/or actual loss producing events and developing effective remedial actions.

Events are easily recorded on a series of standard and user designed forms and templates.

Common information for all occurrences is first recorded on the general form.  The remaining information is then entered in the other pre-designed forms. These cover the most common events such as injuries, illnesses, vehicle accidents, property damage, spills, or environmental damage.

Other related information such as miscellaneous costs, statements, related documents and scanned or imported images are entered as required.

If other information is required that is not covered in the pre-designed forms, a blank custom form is included. Using this form, the administrator can design as many custom forms which may be needed which are unique to the particular organization.

Once all the information is gathered a cause analysis can be performed using the DNV Systematic Cause Analysis Technique or SCAT®. Finally,  effective remedial or recommended action information, which is trackable, is entered.

A complete set of standard and custom reports, including WCB reporting forms, is included.

VIMS.Hiring and Placement™ - Module – AN APPLIANCE

VIMS.Hiring and Placement™ is the information management module that allows you to manage and archive your hiring processes.

Successful hiring or candidate placement relies on sound understanding of all the attributes of the job.

You can capture your hiring process as well as the components of developing a Job Definition by using the forms in Hiring And Placement; Job Cover Sheet, Physical Requirements, Working Environment Attributes, Job Tasks and Cognitive Requirements.

An important aspect of Hiring and Placement is the site orientation and the job orientation. Vims Hiring and Placement uses the Orientation Template, to archive your user designed orientations. The specific orientation is created using the following forms; Start, Orientation Coversheet, Checklist, Attendees and Related Documents.

The VIMS.Hiring and Placement Wizard assists you in placing a New Hire, selection of a Succession candidate and Modified Duties assignment.

A complete set of standard and custom reports is available to view. These reports can be seen in HIR Reports. Orientation information is summarized in the Orientation By Employee report.

VIMS.Testing™ is designed to schedule and monitor your important workplace testing requirements. Using this Module will allow you to track any and all tests required within your organization, the people involved in each test and the results of each test.

The Testing Module is simple and easy to use. It is divided into three sections; Admin, Schedules, and Reports.

A test can be any type of test; a driving test, a cardio pulmonary test, a drug test, an alcohol test, an eye test, a competency demonstration, etc.

You assign a specific name to your Test which is understood by your organization. Your Test Name is entered in the Test Detail screen. VIMS philosophy allows the user to define and enter local titles, names and descriptions.

The Test is entered in the Test Schedules screen for a one time test or a monthly test or any other schedule your organizational needs dictate.

The Reports section is the archives of all Tests and the results of those Tests. The Reports are broken down into Test by Employee and Tests Detail.

Testing is an important function of managing risks in your organization. Regardless if a test is mandated by regulation or required by your organization’s policy, the Testing Module will become a valuable and reliable tool to meet your objectives and responsibilities.
